Terms & Conditions
Introduction
The purchase of any travel services offered by Classik Travel and Adventure authorized to do business as Classik Travels constitutes a contractual arrangement between the tourist (“the Client”) and Classik Travels that represents your acceptance of the Classik Travels Terms & Conditions set out herein.
Please ensure that you carefully read and understand these Terms & Conditions before making your booking. You are advised to check on our website or to request the latest version of the Terms & Conditions from Classik Travels.
The client must at all times comply with all South African laws, regulations and any other regulations applicable. The client must strictly abide to the following rules during the tour:
- No drugs or any other intoxicating substances of any nature whatsoever are permitted on our tours.
- Any disruptive, dangerous or potentially dangerous behavior during the tour shall not be tolerated and Classik Travels reserves the right to exclude the client from the rest of the tour at any point wherein such circumstances arise. (Classik Travels shall not be held liable for any costs and or/expenses incurred for by the client as a result of the client being excluded as aforesaid, and the client shall not be entitled to a refund or rebate of the tour price or and additional compensation in such instances).
- Abide by the Environmental rules, legislation or whatever policies meant to protect the environment or nature.
Tour Price and Payment
- The tour price is as stipulated on the website or invoice provided to you by Classik Travels (“Tour Price”).
- Full payment of the Tour Price is due 30 days prior to the tour. Your booking will be automatically canceled if the full payment or the balance thereof is not received.
- Tour payment can be done directly on our website, or upon request Classik Traveles will send an online payment link to client via Payfast, PayPal or Yoco.
- The Tour Price includes stipulated services, and meals that are included as per the advert. Most of our trips are mostly self-catering.
- Proof of payment for the Tour Price must be emailed to info@classiktravels.co.za. Classik Travels will confirm the booking via electronic communication once the full payment has been received.
- All prices are stipulated as per person unless stated otherwise.
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
- The Tour Price is in South African currency being ZAR. If payment is in any other currency the amount paid in a foreign currency should be equal to the Tour Price after currency conversions have occurred.
- Some tour prices are NOT meant for peak season periods, as domestic travel demand goes higher.
- In order to secure your booking a (non-refundable) deposit of 50% is required by the date that will be given in your quotation. A booking is confirmed once the required deposit is received. The balance shall be paid before the commencement of the tour.
- The itinerary on the website is NOT final, Classik Travels reserves the right to amend/change the itinerary when necessary.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- All cancellations must be made in writing to Classik Travels immediately after such a decision has been reached.
- If it rains or the weather doesn’t permit for tour to continue your reservation will be rescheduled or you will receive a refund.
- Classik Travels reserves the right, at any time and for any reason it deems reasonable, to cancel the tour on notice to the client. In such an event Classik Travels will refund all funds paid by the client.
- The tours are subject to a minimum of 2 people an extra charge will apply for single travellers.
- If the client does not complete the tour with the rest of the group, for any reason whatsoever, he or she shall not be entitled to any refunds/rescheduling whatsoever.
- No cancellation fee is applicable to tours canceled more than sixty (60) days prior to the tour date.
- Should the client cancel a booking within 30 (thirty) days or less prior to tour date for any reason (except hospitalization), the client will be liable to pay cancellation fees as follows:
Day Tours:
- 30-days’ notice: client forfeits 10% of full payment for transfer costs/bank charges.
- 20-days’ notice: client forfeits 50% of full payment.
- 10-days’ notice: client forfeits 100% of full payment.
- NO SHOW on the day of tour departure, client forfeits 100%.
Multi-day Tours:
- 30+ days’ notice: client forfeits 10% of full payment for transfer costs/bank charges
- 20 days’ notice: client forfeits 50% of the Tour Price.
- 10 days’ notice: client forfeits 75% of the Tour Price.
- 0-5 days’ notice: client forfeits 100% of the tour price.
Departure Times
Classik Travels, its owner, employees, agents and affiliates cannot be held liable for delayed flights or transfers that negatively affect a tour booked through the company. Suppliers that provide transfer services for our tours adhere to strict departure and arrival times and may be forced to leave without a client(s) who has been delayed enroute to the collection point. The client will be liable for all additional costs in this case if Classik Travels has to organize a private transfer or book an extra day to make up for time lost on the tour.
Passports, Visas and other Travel Papers
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that passports, visas, health certificates, proof of vaccinations and any other required documentation are all in order before the tour date.
Under no circumstances will Classik Travels write any Visa invitation letters whatsoever.
